1. Tackling the Plastic Tide

Did you know that over 520 million plastic shampoo bottles are discarded in the UK every single year? That figure doesn’t even account for liquid soap dispensers and shower gel bottles.

We choose to be part of the solution, not the pollution. By switching to our solid bars, you are helping to reduce this staggering waste. We are committed to a micro-plastic-free existence, ensuring that nothing we make harms our waterways. We prioritise circularity in our packaging to keep our environmental footprint as light as possible:

• Cardboard Boxes & Tubes: Fully and easily recyclable.

• Metal Tins: Designed for longevity. While these are recyclable, we encourage you to reuse them indefinitely.

• Compostable Pouches: Our pouches are industrially compostable (EN 13432), meaning they can be disposed of in your food waste bin.

In rare instances where durability is essential—such as the moisture-resistant labels on our shaving tins—we must ensure safety information remains legible. For everything else, we are proud to be plastic-free and purpose-driven.

2. Cruelty-Free & Palm Oil Free

We believe that high-performance skincare shouldn't rely on animal-derived ingredients. Our mission is to harness the pure, potent power of plants to create products that are as ethical as they are effective.

The Power of Candelilla

Instead of beeswax, we use Candelilla wax as the foundation for our moisture-locking formulas, such as our Velvet Cream Conditioning Bar-to-Milk. Derived from the wild-grown Candelilla shrub, this sustainable botanical wax is a miracle of nature.

It acts as a breathable "second skin," sealing in deep hydration and providing a natural protective barrier against the elements—all without clogging pores. By focusing exclusively on plant-based waxes, we ensure our products remain:

• 100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free

• Highly Bioavailable: Rich in nutrients that mimic the skin's natural oils.

• Environmentally Conscious: Supporting wild-harvested biodiversity over industrial farming.

No Palm Oil, No Exceptions

We take a firm stand against deforestation. Palm oil is strictly excluded from our recipes due to its devastating impact on rainforests and wildlife. Instead, we formulate with rich, sustainable butters and oils that are as kind to the planet as they are luxurious on your skin.

3. Sourcing with Integrity

True beauty cannot come at a human cost. We carefully vet every supplier to ensure our ingredients and packaging are not only high-quality but ethically sourced.

We are particularly vigilant regarding natural mica, the mineral used to give our soaps their shimmer. We are aware of the ethical challenges in the global mica supply chain and strictly source from suppliers who guarantee child-labour-free extraction. We choose partners who hold recognised certifications and transparency audits, ensuring that the sparkle in our soap supports fair working conditions.

We test every formula on ourselves first, ensuring they feel as luxurious as they look. We then back that artisan passion with rigorous science: we pH test every single batch to ensure it is perfectly balanced and gentle.

Every ingredient we select adheres strictly to UK & EU Cosmetic Regulation standards. We perform thorough quality control checks on every cure; a product never leaves our workshop unless it is safe, compliant, and perfect.
