Designed with Care This balm didn't start in a boardroom; it started in my kitchen. I originally formulated this blend for a close friend’s daughter who was struggling with extremely reactive, sensitive skin. I saw how uncomfortable she was and how standard, water-based lotions often caused a "stinging" sensation on her delicate skin.
I wanted to create something different: a concentrated, waterless "shield" that provided immediate comfort and long-term protection. This balm is the result of that mission—a gentle, high-performance formula for anyone whose skin needs a little extra kindness.
Why These Ingredients Work for Dry, Reactive Skin
When skin is prone to extreme dryness, its natural "moisture barrier" is often compromised. Think of your skin like a brick wall; when it's dry, the "mortar" between the bricks is missing, allowing moisture to escape and irritants to get in.
Our anhydrous (waterless) formula is designed to "re-seal" that wall:

The Heavy-Duty Butters (Shea, Mango & Cocoa): At a massive 63% concentration, these butters create a physical, breathable barrier on the skin's surface. Unlike lotions that evaporate, these fats stay on the skin to mimic its natural lipid layer, locking in moisture for hours.

The "Skin-Identical" Oils (Jojoba & Avocado): Jojoba Oil is chemically very similar to human sebum, meaning the skin "recognises" it and allows it to penetrate deeply without feeling greasy. Avocado Oil is rich in sterolins, which are known to soften the skin and soothe the feeling of tightness.

The Silk Finish (Arrowroot & FCO): To ensure the balm doesn't feel heavy or "tacky," we use Arrowroot Powder and Fractionated Coconut Oil. These help the rich butters sink in quickly and leave a silky, velvet touch, so you can get dressed right after applying.

Vitamin E Support: We’ve added Vitamin E to help protect the skin from environmental stressors and support the natural repair process of the epidermis.
Note: This formula is intentionally simple and free from synthetic fragrances, making it ideal for skin prone to eczema, psoriasis, or dermatitis.

- For external use only. Avoid direct eye contact. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with fresh water.
- Allergens: Please check the full ingredients list carefully.Note for Nut Allergy Sufferers: This product may contain traces of tree nuts (such as Sweet Almond Oil and Shea Butter) as it is handcrafted in a workshop where these ingredients are used.
- Essential Oils: Consult a physician before use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Patch Test: We recommend a patch test before first use.
- Caution: May make surfaces slippery.
Standard Soap Bars
- Minimum Weight: 110g (As per label).
- Approx. Dimensions: ~8 x 6 x 2.5 cm.
- Note: Our bars are hand-cut. We aim for a generous cut, so your bar will often weigh more than 110g when fresh. As soap ages and cures, it loses water weight to become harder and longer-lasting.
Shaving Soap Tins
- Tin Dimensions: 80mm (Diameter) x 28mm (Height).
- Capacity: 125ml.
- Packaging: Reusable, rust-resistant aluminium tin with a press on lid. Perfect for travel or reusing once the soap is finished.
Bath Truffles:
- ~50mm (Diameter) x 20mm (Height), weight ~45g
- Supplied in cardboard tube
Velvet Cream Moisture Bars:
- ~70mm (Diameter) x 25mm (Height), weight ~80g
- Supplied in metal tin
